Who We Are
Penny Perry
Penny Perry has an extensive background in the film and entertainment industry, with over forty years casting director. She is considered one of Hollywood’s top “A-list” casting directors having cast hundreds of films and television roles during her career. Ms. Perry’s projects have been nominated for and have won many professional awards: an Academy Award for Midnight Express, Cocoon and Ordinary People Ms. Perry is a member of the Motion Picture Academy, Television Academy and Women in Film.

In her forty years in the film industry, Ms. Perry has held several high-profile executive positions; she served as Vice President for Sony/Columbia Pictures, Vice President of Talent for HBO/Silver Screen, President of Marble Arch under Sir Lew Grade and Senior Vice President of Original Programming of Talent and Casting at Hallmark Channel., where Ms. Perry negotiates and oversees casting and talent for all film productions. These include original series, wheels, made for television movies, as well as the highly regarded franchise, the Hallmark Hall of Fame and recently unscripted projects.

Ms. Perry’s years working in film have enabled her to establish strong relationships with top agents and managers in the entertainment industry. She has a keen eye for young talent and is responsible for discovering and giving many “A-list” actors their first film roles. A small sample of her talent roster include but is not limited to: Michelle Pfeiffer, Cuba Gooding Jr., Dennis Quaid, Diane Lane, Robin Wright, Timothy Hutton, Peter Gallagher, Patrick Dempsey, Brad Davis, Dermot Mulroney, Debra Winger, Fred Savage, Rob Lowe, Patrick Swayze, Steve Martin, Emilio Estevez, Kristin Bell, Alfred Woodard, Kelly McGinnis, Lou Diamond Phillips, Laura Dern and Cathy Bates.

A number of the of the feature films Ms. Perry is responsible for casting include Midnight Express for Sir David Putnam and Alan Parker, Young Guns for Joe Roth, Cocoon for Ron Howard, Ordinary People for Robert Redford, The Jerk for Carl Reiner, Time Cop for Peter Hyams, Tap for Nick Castle and Gregory Hines, The NeverEnding Story for Wolfgang Peterson and Idolmaker for Taylor Hackford.

With her Production Company, Rocking Horse Productions, Ms. Perry, and her partner Eugene Davis are in development with several projects. Carlotta Carlyle a series of Mystery novels are in development with Appian Way for a series. Crows Over A Wheatfield is being developed for a limited mini-series. The duo is fishing a screenplay for an international thriller.
Amy Reece
Amy Reece started her career as an actress working in both film and television. She has had the good fortune of studying with many legendary teachers such as Roy London, Kenneth McMillan, Janet Alhante, and David Proval. Amy has also studied at Boston University and The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
Growing up in a theatrical family has given Amy a unique perspective and a deep reverence for the creative process. She had the rare opportunity to begin witnessing the audition process from a very young age. This experience has informed her teaching. It is important to Amy in both her roles as casting director and acting coach to create a respectful, safe environment for actors to explore different parts of themselves and encourage them to find their own voice.
In 2000, Amy decided to shift her focus from acting to casting, joining the family business under the name Perry/Reece Casting. Through Perry/Reece Casting, she has cast hundreds of movies of the week, series and miniseries that have aired on NBC, Hallmark, Lifetime, Sci-Fi, Spice and other major networks. Amy has discovered top stars of today including Kristen Bell, Shailene Woodley, and Abigail Breslin to name a few.
Amy has been teaching acting for over 20 years. She finds meaning in teaching and enjoys supporting and fostering young artists, emboldening them to follow their dreams.
Brooke Davis
Brooke began her career as an actress, appearing opposite such familiar faces as Anthony Edwards, Peter Horton, Paul Winfield, Julianna Margulies, and Edward Asner. Brooke has tremendous compassion towards actors. She began working as an associate for Perry/Reece/Davis Casting. She has a keen eye for talent and conducts most of the audition sessions.
With her years of acting experience, she is able to redirect actors if she finds a particular choice they have made is not working in a scene. Brooke then edits the actors' best take and prepares a reel to send off to producers. Brooke has helped cast over 100 movies-of-the-week, miniseries, and features. She has a remarkable knowledge of movies and talent from the 1920's through today.
Brooke's memory is unlike any other. Even though she has been casting for years, she is still able to remember precise details of when an actor has auditioned for her.
